CAN'T able to write a DVD

Hello,
my Drive writes CD and Reads DVD then how come its not writting DVDs?

What kind of Drive is it ?? some older drives are able to write CDs but only read DVD's (ie. CD-r DVD-rom drives) so that may be what you have and it is working fine !! -- it takes a more precise laser to be able to write DVDs than CDs
