DDR3 1600 CAS 9 or DDR3 1066 CAS 7

I have been reading different threads relating to this but couldn't find a conclusive answer.

I'm looking to get 8gb or ram for a new system and wanted to know which would be faster:

G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 CAS 9 $109
or
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1066 CAS 7 $89

Both are 1.5V

I would be using the system for a balance of gaming and 3d modeling (architecture) / rendering.

Which of these two would be faster and would one of these lend itself more easily to overclocking (ie. is it easier to overclock the speed or the timings)?

  1. I'll be getting an i5-2500k when they come out and probably a conservative overclock -- air only.
