I have been reading different threads relating to this but couldn't find a conclusive answer.
I'm looking to get 8gb or ram for a new system and wanted to know which would be faster:
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 CAS 9 $109
or
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1066 CAS 7 $89
Both are 1.5V
I would be using the system for a balance of gaming and 3d modeling (architecture) / rendering.
Which of these two would be faster and would one of these lend itself more easily to overclocking (ie. is it easier to overclock the speed or the timings)?
