I just bought 2 more sticks of RAM(exact same as the 2 I have now) because I want to do video editing and it's hard to do in high quality with only 4GB.

I never actually added ram without building from scratch and I wanted to be 100% sure before I installed it, is it just plug and play basically?
-Power down
-un-hook cables
-open case
-pop in 2 more sticks
-close back up
-hook up cables
-turn on

Windows 7 64bit
AMD Phenom II X4 BE
Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H Mobo
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)

First of all i recommend checking that your motherboard can take 8gb

then yes it is that simple, check that you have enough slots aswell. A common error dare i say it

but also don't forget to ground yourself first

Is that supposed to mean good luck or is there something else behind it? I can't tell.
