Right, I have an old motherboard that I'm gonna replace cause many of the capacitors are blown, but I'm confused about the memory- my old motherboard supported this:

2x DDR 333/266

my new motherboard's specs are:
2x DDR slorts, DDR DIMM 266 - 400Mhz supported

will the RAM from my old MB work with the new one? I've tried inserting it and it fits perfectly

Yes it will. DDR has 184 pins, so there is no way that you'd get anything else to fit that, as DDR2/3 uses a 240-pin configuration.

Depending on what RAM you have, you can use anywhere between 266 to 400 MHz of speed. Your mobo supports as low as 266 MHz and as high as 400 MHz.
