Have you been to the attic already? I think there's something there you
might have missed.

Dude, there's nothing there that I can find. I've listened in to the two
lovers already and found them unconscious later...what else is there? I've
seen the crack in the east wall (behind the large crate)...

There is a switch somewhere in the attic on one of the beams but it's well
hidden, does not highlight. I think this was right.

Scroll down and there's a comment by the ever reliable and amazing
Nightwalker, and a couple of comments after that a another one by Shadow
Creepr, with a picture of the place you need to search.

Found it!
It was the switch to get in to that part of the attic that was the missing
element, and I managed to find it myself - almost by accident - before I'd
seen the responses.
Thank you all!
Now, do those rosary beads even work is my next worry...

Well, they seem to work.
Now, how do I get to that switch on that balcony? I've seen the passageway
that's blocked by fallen stone but no combination of mines and fire arrows
seem to be able to shift it...

Yeah, I found it. Pretty darn obvious too!
Now to get myself another FM. Was there ever a follow up to the 7th Crystal?

No. Saturnine was working on it, it was announced, some great screenies
were posted if I recall, but then he dropped the project. I'm afraid we'll
never see the conclusion to this gripping story.
Have you played Lord Alan's Fortress (Sequel to Lord Alan's Basement)? It
is an excellent Fan Mission, really fantastic. The 'Art of Thievery' is
also a must, if you haven't played it. It is a Ghoster's delight, but
supports also other playing styles. I'd also highly recommend 'Durant'.
It's challenging and has excellent gameplay design. One of my favorites.
If you haven't played "L'Arsene", that's another gem you want to try (and
its sequel, 'Emilie Victor'). "Karrass' Diary" is also a refreshing Fan
Mission. Definitely worth playing. And of course, the wonderful 'Ominous
Bequest' and 'Rowena's Curse'. And many more....
Any of those not familiar to you? If so, pick any one of them -- they each
represent the highest in FM quality.

I started it and was really enjoyong but then I started to find the sheer
size of it overwhelming and I gave up I'm afraid!

Agreed, although I found it too sprawling in the end.

Super. I'll check it out.

Played both. They were SUPERB!

Noted, again.

Pretty sure I've done OB, definitely done RC.
So far, I've only found one duff FM and even that wasn't exactly awful (just
too easy and far, far too much money).
