Eyefinity Problem

Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble finding an ACTIVE mini DP to dual link DVI adapter. The only one that ATi has "validated" for use with Eyefinity is this one:

However, this is out of stock at Amazon. Can anyone out there give me a link to an adapter that I can buy that's in stock? Preferably Amazon or Newegg (although I've searched and couldn't come up with anything).

Here are my system specs for reference:

Core i7-920 @ 2.66 Ghz
Patriot 6GB 1333 Mhz 7-7-7-20
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
ATi Radeon HD 5970 (The video card has two DVI and one mini DP ports)

Oh and another thing; my screens also have HDMI if that makes a difference, and I'm not opposed to using other options/adapters. I'm just completely lost. Thanks again!

What res are your monitors? If less than 1920x1080 with 60hz refresh rate, just get a passive mDP to VGA adapter. Much cheaper, and should be the same image quality.

EDIT: If you are still wanting DVI connection, though, Sapphire makes an active adapter, but only from regular Displayport, not mini, but you should be able to find an adapter for that, too. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10012185

EDIT 2: Dammit, just realized it was out of stock! Newegg has none at all, and ZZF was the second one that popped up for that model.

I have these monitors:

I believe they only have DVI and HDMI connections.

Apple displayport adapters seem to be hit and miss.

Try Accell, Bizlink, Dell and Sapphire.

I bought mine on ebay.

hunuok got it right, DP adapters are a different breed and are pretty finicky. I have, however, heard many good reports from several different passive DP-VGA adapters, so that may be your best bet. But, I've never seen one that is miniDP, only regular. :/

My screen doesn't have a VGA connection. Also, for Eyefinity to work with three screens, I need an active adapter (active adapters have a USB connection attached that draws power from a USB port on the computer).

I just can't find an active mini DP to DVI cable; anyone know if it would be possible to go active mini DP to DP -> passive DP to DVI/HDMI -> DVI/HDMI port on screen?

I have the Dell display Port to Dual Link Display port adapter. A quick search of dell will find the product. It's 99.00 bucks though.

If I'm not mistaken, Dell/Sapphire uses relabelled Accel or Bizlink adapters.

They are sold out/not available here in Seoul, so I priority ordered one. It cost me $120 in shipping!
