Hey Guys,

Im thinking of building a whole new pc after the summer, and i will have 800 euros(1000 dollars), or perhaps even 1300 if I get my current pc sold. I am looking for a reliable, strong, fast, gaming desktop, that will run games at high settings with high fps and no overheating. I am not planning on overclocking it either, because I have no idea how to do that and I might break it.

Approximate Purchase Date:
September/October '10

Available Budget:
800(1000$)-1000(1300$) Euros

Not Required:
OS, Screen, Mouse, Keyboard, and any other external things

The most important factors:
Flawless gaming on high graphics, Fast Boot/Loading of things

From my existing pc I can use(not exactly sure):
Nothing, but I will most likely sell it for 200 euros(Can you tell me if this is a good price?)
nVidia Geforce 9400 GT, 2GB RAM DDR2, 500GB Harddrive, Windows XP Professional, MSI P43T-C51, dont know the other stuff but it is an average pc for all-around

Country of Origin: Germany

Part Preferences: I really dont mind, I just want the best available for gaming in the price range given

Overclocking: nope

Crossfire/Sli: I might crossfire it later, but it would be good if it is able to crossfire

Monitor Resolution: Its a 22" IIyama Prolite E2207 WS

Additional Info: I really dont that much memory, 500GB is fine/1TB is quite big
-only buying the stuff in october '10, so it will be cheaper by then
-dont need the stuff that is super new and coming out in fall this year(im fine with a strong pc that i can easily play HD games on)
-not overclocking so i dont need crazy good coolers

What I think I have found so far :bounce:  (really not sure about this)
Intel i5-750/162 Euros:
Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD5/193 Euros:
Graphic's Card:
1024MB Sapphire Radeon HD 5750/125 Euros:

sorry that the websites are in german but I need stuff from a german website otherwise the shipping is going to rise the price by around 200-300 dollars(if I order from the U.S.)

Preferred websites:

Thanks for reading the whole thing and I apologize for the websites being in german.

Since u stated gaming: a half decent CPU coupled with as much monster you can cram is the GPU department is best solution for your $$ Our very own forums did a study and for a purely gaming rig the sweet spot for the $$ was actually not even a quad core @@

I just did some research on the AMD Phenom vs the intel i5-750, and it said that the i5-750 is 1/3 of the time faster than the AMD Phenom.

And are you sure that the graphic card is worth it for 280, or is there better ones for up to 50 euros more?

The next step up is the HD 5870 - but for your 22" a HD 5850 more than suffices ^^

Hmm configuring a config on a foreign h/w online etailer is one thing but 2nd hand prices for hardware where u at is a bridge too far me thinks hehe
