APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within a month

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Flight Sim(IL-2), General Gaming, light CAD

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: mouse, keyboard, monitor

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Anywhere that ships to Canada. I've been using NCIX.com. If prices are the same as another site, I'd prefer purchasing from here since I am planning to use their $50 set up option.

PARTS PREFERENCES: none

OVERCLOCKING:No
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: If this is a cost effective way to update (I think it is), then yes, in the future

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1200

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I already have a spare hard drive (I can't for the life of me figure out how to find what model it is, but its about 3 years old) If hard drive speed won't slow down my PC during gaming then I will use it instead of buying a new one.

So far I'm thinking

It looks pretty good. I would probably change the case to either the Antec 300 Illusion, Coolermaster 690 or HAF 922.

I would recommend getting a new HDD. Older drives are a lot slower and it will just make you system seem old. It's fine to use an old drive as a data drive, but I'd pick up a Seagate 7200.12 500 GB or Samsung Spinpoint F3 500 GB as your main drive.

I actually found some bundle deals. It's cheaper but the RAM and PSU changes, I think its similar quality though.

Thanks!
How are:

HDD:
Seagate Momentus 7200.4 320GB 2.5IN SATA 7200RPM 16MB Hard Drive OEM
http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=42252&promoid=1009

Case:
Coolermaster cm 690 Mid Tower Black ATX Case 5X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front USB Sound Firewire & eSATA
http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=26048

What is the reasoning behind changing the case? I don't actually know much about cases, I was just going for one that looked cool :p. All the ones in my price range seemed to have 120mm fans which I thought was the biggest factor.

I think the 5850 should be alright. I have an 8800GT 512MB right now and while its slow sometimes, it does everything I need to. I checked around and from what I've read, the 5850 should be better than that, please let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
