Msi motherboard north bridge heatsink replacement question

will this heat sink work on the northbridge below the cpu?

On the main heatsink off to the side labeled "msi", looks like it will fit in at least 2 of the original mounting holes. Be prepared to remove the board, but first, see if you can remove the original heatsink without damaging it. The msi warranty is pretty good, but if you scratch or damage anything around the heatsink, then they will see it during their inspection and void the warranty. If you don't care about warranty, then try it, just save the old heatsink in case you rma the board someday.
