This Corsair 950W TX should be enough

In benchmark testing guru3d claims it needs at least 70amps on the 12v and ~894 watts. 78amps from the Corsair may be a little tight with upgrades.

strictly no offence intended, but I can't believe you are not sure about the PSU after planning that rig.

That would certainly do the job. It's a very nice PSU. It's more expensive than most of the suggestions, but judging by your build, that's not a problem. :)

hey guys, well i was looking at Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-1200 . but im gonna be hooking up to ati radeon 5970s 4gb each video cards in crossfire , i think thats correct. i think i need 2 6 pin and 2 8 pin connections on the powerspply right?what one would be a good model with that , and i want it to be 1200w or so. thanks

OMG.!! This is a huge build.. All top of the line components so better get a top of the line PSU.. Something like the Corsair AX 1200 (am sure you can afford one, not so sure on the availability though).. BTW, just for curiosity sake, what is the hard drive configuration and which case have you selected.? Also, which 30" monitor and how many.?

lol true thats funny, i was looking the Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-1200 , does have what i was looking for it has 2 6 and 2 8 pin ones. but is there a better psu or should i just go with this one, the others ya guys metioned are pretty good too, but what is the best one,

for emperus , hdd config? what do you mean, ima have windows 7 64 bit im looking at gettinga 600gb raptor harddrive and on case i have a antec 1200 case. its big as all hell lol.

That Quattro is a very good PSU thes pass days I OC and Intel i5-655K @ 6.3GHz (with phase change), with a 5770 HAWK and OCZ Reaper with that PSU and is very solid.

^Why not? The Rampage III needs two 4 pin connector 12V and the Antc 1200 have it.

I mean Antec 1200 the case.. Not Antec TPQ 1200 the PSU..
