Hi.

Here are the system requirements for the 5970.

ATI Radeon™ HD 5970 System Requirementshttp://www.amd.com/us/products/desk...s/ati-radeon-hd-5970-system-requirements.aspx

PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
650 Watt or greater power supply one 75W 6-pin and one 150W 8-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (850 Watt with two 75W 6-pin and two 150W 8-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)
Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to http://support.amd.com/us/certified/power-supplies/Pages/listing.aspx for a list of certified products
Minimum 1GB of system memory
Installation software requires CD-ROM drive
DVD playback requires DVD drive
Blu-ray™ playback requires Blu-ray drive
For an ATI CrossFireX™ system, a second ATI Radeon™ HD 5970 graphics card, an ATI CrossFireX Ready motherboard and one ATI CrossFireX Bridge Interconnect cable per graphics card (included) are required

The recommended PSU is for the entire system.

This Corsair 950W TX should be enough

strictly no offence intended, but I can't believe you are not sure about the PSU after planning that rig.

hey guys, well i was looking at Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-1200 . but im gonna be hooking up to ati radeon 5970s 4gb each video cards in crossfire , i think thats correct. i think i need 2 6 pin and 2 8 pin connections on the powerspply right?what one would be a good model with that , and i want it to be 1200w or so. thanks

I still believe the 1000w Kingwin is the best price/performance option for this setup.

That 950w Corsair would be cutting it a little close for my taste.

OMG.!! This is a huge build.. All top of the line components so better get a top of the line PSU.. Something like the Corsair AX 1200 (am sure you can afford one, not so sure on the availability though).. BTW, just for curiosity sake, what is the hard drive configuration and which case have you selected.? Also, which 30" monitor and how many.?
