My system is as follows:

Mobo: ASRock X58 Extreme 3 LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813157189

Video: XFX HD-585X-ZAFC Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814150477

cpu: i7 930
cooling: stock

Case: HAF 932

PSU: 750 Corsair

RAM: 3x 1gb DDR3 1600 G Skills

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint f3 1tb

Now I have power going to the mobo and cpu. stock heatsink is on the cpu. no ram installed, no video card, nothing else. Now I should get a long beep saying I need RAM, right? Well There is silence. I have the speaker on the right pins.

I read the stickied "no boot" and "no video" checklist and did everything. At the bottom it said that silence means RAM is shorting out the psu. There is no ram installed so what is going on.
