ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: i may or may not be able to get a copy of windows so i need a options for w/ and w/o OS. id like the pc to be pretty stable for use over the next few years (aka good psu)
currently their oooollllddddd dell single core demension 3000 is looking to be retired.
500 bucks is the max, spending less would be nice but i dont want to cut many corners.

if i need the OS i figured we could drop down to the dual core amd cpu and only 2 gig's of ramm
they would like a new montor too. right now its a 15" crt...
if there are some prebuilt
options out there that would save some cash, in your opinion, let me know. i figured building it myself would yield better results..
