(im asking for a build with OS and without OS)

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: within the month BUDGET RANGE: $500 before shipping

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: internet, banking, ...very moderate gaming aka old command and conquer games etc

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, speakers, maybe os(see above)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: usa

PARTS PREFERENCES: none

OVERCLOCKING: i might, just for fun, depends on cpu choice... SLI OR CROSSFIRE: nothing needed beyond onboard gpu so no

MONITOR RESOLUTION: need a monitor :)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: i may or may not be able to get a copy of windows so i need a options for w/ and w/o OS. id like the pc to be pretty stable for use over the next few years (aka good psu)

currently their oooollllddddd dell single core demension 3000 is looking to be retired.

500 bucks is the max, spending less would be nice but i dont want to cut many corners.

here is what i came up with:

this is w/o OS

Rosewill R223-P-BK 120mm Fan ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

hanns G 19" wide screen

Open Box: MSI 785GM-E51 AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Rosewill Green Series RG430-S12 430W Continuous @40°C, 80 PLUS Certified, Single 12V Rail, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7,i5" Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

partriot ramm 2 x 2g ddr3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

AMD Athlon II X4 630 Propus 2.8GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

if i need the OS i figured we could drop down to the dual core amd cpu and only 2 gig's of ramm

they would like a new montor too. right now its a 15" crt...

if there are some prebuilt

options out there that would save some cash, in your opinion, let me know. i figured building it myself would yield better results..

thanks

Right, I don't think they'll need a quad-core or such high-end RAM for doing word processing or surfing the web. I'm also taking into account rebates since you seem to do so as well.
