I have just finished putting together a new system and I have been getting a random single beep from the internal speaker while in windows 7. I occasionnally get a double beep after a single beep. I do not get these beeps while sitting in the bios. My system boots up with no errors and seems to perform just fine.

Any help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

My system configuration is as follows:

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-H55-USB3
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870@ 2.93GHz
Memory - ADATA DDR3 1333G - 4GB

Power Supply - 500 Watt - Coolmax Model M-500B
Drives - WDC WD2500KS-00MJB1 ATA Device
ST3500630AS ATA Device
WDC WD3200KS-00PFB0 ATA Device
WD My Book 1130 USB Device
HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22LS30 ATA Device

Your MB's manual will tell you what those beeps mean.

I heard back from Gigabyte technical support and they told me that there is a bug in the intel chip that is causing the temperature sensor to be read incorrectly. They said that they contacted intel and that they are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. They said that when the problem is fixed, a patch will be posted on both intel and gigabytes website.
