Okay, I got the greatest deal of ALL TIME! I bought this PC about 2 weeks back and the specs were:

-i7 @ 860 @ 3.0GHz

-4GB G-Skill running @ 1333MHz

-Intel DP55WB Motherboard

-EVGA GTX 260

-Antec 300 Case

-OCZ 700W PSU

-1TB 7200 RPM Western Digital Caviar Black

-Cheap DVD+/-RW DL

AND I PAID ONLY $505 AFTER SHIPPING!

Anyways I bought it and I wiped the HDD and replaced some parts like installed a NEW STOCK cooler, and I ran Prime 95 and all the benchmarks I could find and not one showed anything wrong with this PC. Its a great rig. Anyways I was originally planning to build a AMD Rig for like $800 but since I got this i7 so cheap I have a spare $300 to improve this rig's Performance!

Here are the Windows Exprience Ratings:

CPU- 7.4

RAM- 7.4

Graphics- 7.2

Gaming Graphics- 7.2

HDD- 5.9

Technically I got this PC for free since I sold my old E2200 Rig for $510 and got this for $505, I got a free i7 rig and $5! Do you guyz think it was a good deal or not?

Right now here is my financial situation

SAVED UP-------------------------------$800
BOUGHT THE i7 RIG------------------($505)
Sold my OLD E2200 RIG-------------$510
Paid my DAD Back--------------------($500)

CURRENT TOTAL----------------------$305

So for $305 what can I do to improve this PC? I was think this:

New Case since the Antec 300 is REALLY CRAMPED with the GTX 260 in it. My HDD's are in at an angle since I cant mount they completely with the GPU and since the PSU is bottom mounted and the Mobo POWER connector is at the top, I have CABLES EVERY WHERE! I want a Full Size ATX, size is not a issue because the bigger the better. I want a HAF 932 or Antec 1200.

Either way, I'll end up dropping about $175 for the Case. Now I also want to upgrade the MOBO because, my current one(DP55WB) is a micro ATX and is really small and cramped and doesn't look good. Also I need to be able to bridge my PC's Wireless Connection to my 360. I was looking at the P55 SLI since it was black and grey and looks cool.

Anyways that is about it. here is the links to the computer that I BOUGHT and the computer I SOLD.

Hellava deal, I just love e-bay!!! I wouldn't spend 300 on stuff that looks cool.

I would put that 260 on ebay! Should sell for about $150. Take that money and buy a case.

Then spend the $300 on a 5850.

Not a bad idea.

Also while you're in there tinkering around, clean that rat's nest of cables up PLEASE.

You should consider the HAF 922 as the difference in size between it and the 932 is tiny and it is much cheaper, and you will have more money to spend on other components.

Good Idea but the GTX 260 itself is OVERKILL for me. I play mostly flash games and some light games. The only game that is hardcore I play is Just Cause 2 and I get 55+ FPS on High with 4XAA. So there is really no point in a 5850. In my original AMD Build, I was going to put a 5750. I dont really care that it looks cool but I chose that MOBO so that I can SLI and get more functions. The Case I want HAF 932 looks cool and it is roomy. The case matters on how it looks. But the Mobo is mainly on functions. I narrowed it to 5 MOBO's but the EVGA P55 SLI is only the one under $200. So Yeah.
