New system hangs on setup for first use

Looking for a little help here.
I just built a brand new system, installed the 64bit ed of win7, and made it all the way to the point where it says, "setup is preparing your computer for first use", and it just stays there. The little symbol at the bottom moves back and forth, indicating something is going on, so it is not frozen. I have no idea what is happening here. It has never taken this long, and I am worried something is wrong. Any advice??

Same thing happened to me on the wifes laptop after I installed a new SSD. Turns out it was the Sata connections. If I were you, I'd check that.
