How to determine quality of network patch cables

we are looking to purchase some patch cables and the price varies quite a bit. does anyone have any experience with patch cables of poor quality and good quality that you can share?

Check the quality of the connectors and how well the wires have been stripped and crimped. Price alone isn't always a quality criteria. You could also make your own.

if this is for at home, get whatever has anti-snag ends. If a more professional setting, make your own.
