Dell XPS 9000 fans run; but nothing else. Computer has solid amber light. What

When I turn on my Dell XPS 9000, the fans run ; but nothing else works. I get a solid amber light as soon as I turn the computer on.

It's been a while since my Dell repair tech days, but I believe that generally means that the CPU microcode isn't being executed and the POST process is not even starting. If you find the documentation for your model on Dell's website, you should be able to find common error codes like that, and what it means. However, I would expect it to mean expensive repairs are in your future.
