Hello,
I'm building a new computer with 4 sata 3 hard drives and I want them in a raid setup. I want to copy from my backup hard drive of a non raid system onto the new raid system. How do I do this or is it possible? Its a windows 7 x64 system

Once you have your new machine built with the raid set in place, you should be able to connect your old backup drive and just copy the files over normally. That's assuming you have space to connect the drive to your system, which if its a new system it almost certainly will have space.

There isn't really anything special to worry with when coping files from a non-raid disk to a raid disk set.

The only thing I forgot to say is the backup is of 2 drives that windows shows as c and d drive will this still work copying to a new raid system with 4 drives?

Thanks
