I'm trying to build a brand new computer for my brother. This is my first attempt at custom building one, and I probably have no business attempting this, but I thought I'd give it a try.
Anyway, so far all I've done is screw in the motherboard and attach the CPU. I plugged in the 2pin power button connector, and tried powering it on to see if I plugged it in correctly, and nothing happened. I then double checked the power supply connectors to make sure they were firmly in place, and they were. After that I unplugged the 4 pin ATX connector, but left the 20 pin plugged in and tried again, and to my surprise the system powered up. I'm not really sure what to do from here, any suggestions? Will my system work if I leave the 4pin ATX connector unplugged?
