Change user name on log on to windows xp

How do i change the user name that pops up on the initial windows screen when you "first" log in after a start up? I tried the one in the control panel and it did not change it, even after the restart.

Right click "My Computer"
Click on Manage
Go to "Local Users and Groups"
Click Users
Double click the User name on the right side and change its full name to whatever you want.
