I have this Asus 24X DVD Burner and my case only came with 2 Sata 6.0gb/s cables so I had to get a SATA cable from my old computer and I'm not sure what version it is. Will this decrease the performance of my optical drive's performance and is the cable compatible with SATA II? Thanks

SATA burners will work on any SATA port. 2 or 3. Same with SATA HDD's. I doubt you have any mobo still stuck on 1.
