Hm, earlier I asked if my computer would work in the Philippines in a 220v socket and indeed, it does, and so does my monitor (both are able to receive and input of 100-240v) but i notice the brushed aluminum is tingly. This happened last year when I brought my laptop as well and I wondered what causes it and how dangerous is it? Hopefully not too dangerous because I used to use my laptop often and really didnt think it was due to the power last year.

I think that you have what is known as a "Type C" power plug - 2 pronged with a relatively flat plug body.

OK. First, if you are using an extension cord, don't. Plug the PC directly into the wall.

Second, try reversing the power plug.

Third, move the computer to a different part of the house and plug it in, then try reversing the plug.

Fourth, try grounding the case.
