I have two 5770s in CF, and I recently got an HDMI cable for my monitor. I plugged in the HDMI cable in to the card and the monitor, but when I switched the input from VGA to HDMI, my monitor displayed the "Signal Not Found" message and switched back to VGA. I cannot switch to HDMI without having the VGA cable plugged in as well. Switching the HDMI cable from my primary card to my secondary doesn't do anything either.

Is there some setting in the CCC that I have to set in order to get this working? Or do I have to restart with just the HDMI cable plugged in?

Tell me what model monitor you have? Did you try DVI instead?

My monitor doesn't have a DVI port.

It's a HANNSPREE, I don't know the exact model. It's 21" with an audio in/out port in the back, along with a VGA and HDMI port. I can take a picture if you want.

EDIT: Figured it out, apparently this HDMI cable doesn't have much of a mechanism for staying in the port. I just had to push it in more. Sorry for wasting your time.
