i have notebook Medion 40100.
and now i have big problem with my headphones.
i have realtek sound card included.so i instaled new realtek ac'97
driver 3.63
and problem is still that same.
i cant force my notebook to use headphones only instead of using
notebook speakers.i was trying many things but nothings helps.
please help

Did you used to get headphones only when you plugged them in? If so,
it isn't software. Whenever you plug in headphones there is a switch
sort of thing in the socket that disconnects the speakers, these can
break.

Usually the headphone jack has switches that disconnect
the speakers. Software is irrelevant. Are you sure you
are not plugging into the line out jack by mistake?

there is any option to fix that? i bought thisa in germany and live in
usa.so no warranty.i know that i can buy USB external audio controler
but i wanne skip it

No real option. If you could find somebody who wanted to do it you
could have the jack replaced. It may be surface-mount, and you need
to really know what you're doing in order to get that right.
