2 275 evga gpu in sli and a 940 be

i am thinking about moving up in v-cards. my mobo is NV clip set so i want to go SLI... so 2 my point! i have been wanting to get the evga 275 sc fro some time now, but the cost.. i am hoping the cost will go down now the the new 470 and 480s are out!

i would like two know if my cpu can hold its own with 2 275s in sli? i no i will need a new PSU just don't know witch one to get yet?

any info are help in making the right move would be helpful think you......

Your CPU is fine with the SLI setup you just overclock it a bit. The cost/performance at the present is the biggest issue. For a PSU you can pick a Corsair, Antec or another good brand in the 750-850watt range.

the PSU i am using now s in that rang Cooler Master PSU 750W real power.. but it only has 24 amps for pci... 2 6 pins and 2 8 pins....

did you read my specs? just asking......

I missed your PSU which I believe is this one http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=2733 It should be fine with the SLI setup the total amps for all 4x19amp +12volt rails is 54amps. Where did you get that it only has 24 amps for pci..?

yes that's it wow you found it... i do not think this PSU will work a long time with two 275 sc GPUs... a friend gave it to me, after he popped with his set up... i7 evga mobo.... two 275 sli over clocked...... plus the 19 amps are realy low.... mail it in got new one....

i am using it with two 9800 gtx + sc GPU... works really good on this setup

i dont know where i got the 24 amp thing at? im not sure if i understand the amp thing any more fore V-cards..... like what would be the total amps needed to run 2 275 sc in sli? or fore just one card? 54 amps total dose not seem like it will work. i do not really know..

here is what i am thinking of doing, getting a new dx-11 card or a 295 or 275sc and using one of my 9800gtx+ sc card ass a PhysX card... i think that my work better then sli. better then the set up i am running now 2 9800gtx+ in SLI any ways....

as you can see i do not have any thing better to do at the moment lol

It is a good idea to go for a DX11 card with one of your GTX+ as dedicated Physx card. The GTX+ cards in SLI is still a powerful setup so you can wait for the prices to settle after the Fermi launch (470 and 480) and then do the upgrade.

yea i do like my set up a lot the 2 9800+ card have been a really good setup... can play most games maxed out with 60 fps.... love them its hard to upgrade.... i only paid 90$ each for them....

i hope the prices do come done...... DX 11.... a friend has a 3 way sli evga set up running 2 260 evga cards on a core2quad q9550 cpu... wow that thing rocks crysis warhead, he helped me with my rig... gave my psu and got me some of my 120mm fans for my tower... lol he gave me my first PC... so he is to blame for me being hook lol .... i like PC gaming better then x-box so on......

i will keep my setup for now....... ty
