Hi everybody

Just rebuilt my system with an ssd and boot times were amazing, like 20 secs from pushing the button and then i came across this "ssd tweaker software" so i thought i would give it a go, so installed and ran it now my boot takes over a minute to complete.

is there anyway i can get the past performance back? i have tried system restore but that did not work

Do you know what files this 'tweaker' has put on your system? Try the trial version of Revo Uninstall to get rid of them. This program searches out hidden bits and pieces.

I have just reinstalled it and it made no difference whatsoever to the performance it still takes over a minute in a fresh build.

Did you do a system restore or a full windows re installation? I would suggest formatting the drive with something like boot N' nuke and then reinstall windows, reinstall from a clean slate. If you have done a full re installation I have no clue... Good luck

They were hidden system files which I guess the tweaker had moved there, there was a folder called boot and another folder which had some weird name like f5429vsjbgj a load of gibberish basically so I deleted them and it sorted the boot out bu an alternative would be to format the drive if u had somewhere to move the data.
