I need advice on what video card should I upgrade to? I was debating between a 5870 2gig, a 5970, or a 480 gtx. My budget limit is really around $550, I don't really want to spend much more than that for a video card. Everything in my system is air cooled, I do not plan on water-cooling since I have had bad experiences trying to water cool. I do not want to run crossfire or sli, I use dual-monitors. I plan on only purchasing 1 card.
So any ideas or suggestions?

My system specs:
CPU Intel Core i7 930
Case Corsair Obsidian 800D
Power Supply Silverstone ST 1200w
Hard Drive WD Caviar Black 1TB WD1001FALS
Hard Drive WD Caviar Black 1TB WD1001FALS
RAM Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1600C9
Motherboard Asus P6T Deluxe v2
Monitor Asus 2 x VH242H 24" Monitors
Graphics Card EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 SC 896-P3-1257-AR
Hard Drive Intel X25-M 80GB SSD SSD

Have you checked any reviews?
The 5970 is the fastest of them all, but I don't know if you will be able to get one at $550. Check newegg, maybe you are in luck.
The 480GTX is faster by 5-10% in all games than the 5870 2GB, but it will consume more power and be more hot than the ATI card.

If money isn't a problem then grab HD 5970. :)

In order from least expensive...

HD5970 for sure on one card. Add an HD5870 later for trifire.
