Asus IPIBL-LB

THE HARD DISK DRIVE IN MY HP COMPUTER WITH THE ASUS IPIBL-LB MOTHERBOARD, HAS QUICK WORKING. HAVE PURCHASE NEW WD 2003FYYS SATA 2TB WITH 64 MB BUFFER. MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I CLEAR THE CMOS ON THE MOBO PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE NEW DRIVE. BEFORE, AT DIFFERENT TIME, I WOULD GET A BLUE SCREEN SAYING WINDOWS HAS DECTED A PROBLEM AND IS SHUTTING WINDOWS DOWN. WOULD LIKE TO ELIMANATE THIS SCREEN FROM COMING UP. I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I CLEAR THE CMOS, INSTALL NEW DRIVE, BOT UP AND ENTER BIOS TO VERIFY BIOS HAS RECONIZED THE NEW DRIVE, THEN I COULD PLACE MY WINDOWS 7 BOOT DISK IN THE CD DRIVE AND REBOOT. PLEASE ADVISE, THANK YOU

Clearing bios is not necessary. When you enter BIOS on startup to check if it recognizes the drive then change the boot order to CD/dvd drive first boot device insert your win 7 disk in the CD drive and exit bios saving changes. The computer should then start up from the Windows disk in the CD drive.
