Benchmark GTX 295 FSX

Anyone know know where I can see a performance test of the GTX 295 in Flight Simulator X?

To be honest, is that really necessary? A GTX 295 will simply blow Flight Simulator X away. If used in only monitor, it's super duper overkill.

Hi r_manic, I use the GTX295 for 3 monitors 24 "and I use a GT9800 for the other 2 monitors 10". There is a setup for FSX that I recommend. Can you believe the result is impressing. After I post the URL here.

FSX is really CPU dependent. I wouldn't say the 295 is overkill for it, but might not be optimized, b/c it's using multiple GPUs. honestly, a 285 might have actually given you better performance. I will run some benchmarks later on my 3 5870s with and without crossfire to see if I get any differences in performance. (running 1 30", 2 26", and 1 23" monitor)

^exactly, its not the GPu that makes FSX hard to run, its the CPU.

no FSX is one of the MOST demanding games out there dude. Its open worlded no loading times and very bad optimized and it works better on a bit OLDER hardware like the 9800GTX etc. So no GTX 295 wont really BLOW FSX away but it will most likely max it out yeah.

lol really? I got a core i7 920 and I cant max it @ DX 9. Not even close. On DX 10 I can max it but I do get some frame drops at huuuge cities.

Define "Max" out. What resolution are you running? I haven't run it in DX10 mode, so I can't give you information there in terms of if it's performance is better. I hope it is as you stated you can max @DX10 but not 9. I just know it's a lot more dependent on CPU than GPU. I was stating that a single faster GPU might be better than multiple GPUs.

I always use either 2560*1600 or 5760*1200 for games. Usually the later for FSX. It's playable for me with everything on high including highest AA, but not as fluid ads I would like.

Hi to all in to the Greece...I have pny-gtx 295x2 an i running fsx good in in 1920x1200 and AA is off, but the others all is configuration maximum performance. I have inside included all sceneries (Greece, London,Germany, etc), many aircraft, add-on's, REX2, etc. If someone test nvidia 480 on fsx the same configuration pls tell me....Thanks
