No that is a LGA1366 motherboard, Sandy Bridge is LGA1155

thanks, do you think i should wait until the i7 2600 price drops or just stick with my i7 950

If you already have the I7 950 just stick with that. Maybe when they bring out the successor to the LGA1366 it will be time to change.
