Pcie cables

i cant seem to find a 6 pin to 6 pin female/female ended pcie cable.
Having lost my cables for my 700w storm psu.
I have a 6 pin female to 4 pin male molex that came with the card,so can i get a 4 pin female molex to 6 pin female pcie plug and will it work?.
I have 2 pcie outlets on my psu and would rather draw off them than the mobo. Any thoughts?.

  1. Imo, the PSU is a no name brand PSU. I personally wouldn't trust my hardware with it. I highly recommend you get a quality 650W+ unit from Corsair, Antec, PC Power, OCZ, or Seasonic.
  2. +1 to Shadow. You can get a new PSU of that range for easily under $100 and it'll be much better for you and will be much safer for your hardware. I blew out a crappy PSU and basically had to replace my whole system, so a new PSU could save you a TON of money in the long run.

  4. If you are not wanting to get a new PSU, I would contact the manufacturer directly- they ought to be able to get you the cables you need:
