a little but nothing major, would also depend more on the game since some games simply utilize two cores.

Only if the game is heavy on CPU usage and enjoys multiple cores. At that resolution, the only game that I think it would bottleneck would be FSX.

Try running GTA IV and You'll come to know.. My opinion is, it wont't.. My E6750 overclocked to 3.2 GHz paired with a radeon HD 4870 1 GB gives playable frame rates at 1920 X 1080.. BTW, that resolution you mentioned is strange.. Is it a typo.??

I have an E8400 and a 5850 Black edition, plays everything fine. Don't worry about it.

Everything is maxed out for what i play. Usually played games:
Bad Company 2
Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Counterstrike

if you want to know a specific game, i may be able to tell you if i've played it.

To be honest, I've no idea.. Haven't played it till now.. The reviews I've read over the net have pointed it to be a real heavyweight when it comes to pulling down systems on their knees.. Though i could not conclude on whether its heavily dependent on graphics or CPU or both.. Check up with google.. There are many reviews out there..

Metro 2033 is a beast of a game for the GPU. I want to see more games like this come out. Should be more considering the 2nd heaviest game is 3 years old.

Yes, but it is unfortunate that the beast doesn't look half as good as the beauty that is Crysis.
