I was wondering if my E8400 @ 3.0ghz will bottleneck my HD 5850 that is supposed to arrived tomorow I will be running it on my Asus 24inch (23.6in) 1920x1024.
Spec:
E8400 @ 3.00ghz
4gig of ram
8800gt (soon to be HD 5850)
Try running GTA IV and You'll come to know.. My opinion is, it wont't.. My E6750 overclocked to 3.2 GHz paired with a radeon HD 4870 1 GB gives playable frame rates at 1920 X 1080.. BTW, that resolution you mentioned is strange.. Is it a typo.??

can't say for now, played Crysis back when i had an 8800GT. I'll be going back to my apartment sometime tomorrow (visiting parents currently) so i can probably tell you soon.
To be honest, I've no idea.. Haven't played it till now.. The reviews I've read over the net have pointed it to be a real heavyweight when it comes to pulling down systems on their knees.. Though i could not conclude on whether its heavily dependent on graphics or CPU or both.. Check up with google.. There are many reviews out there..
Metro 2033 is a beast of a game for the GPU. I want to see more games like this come out. Should be more considering the 2nd heaviest game is 3 years old.
