Looking for good Dvd-rw drive

Hi there, I'm looking to buy a good Dvd-rw drive. I've heard that Pioneer make good drives, so I'd been looking at the Pioneer DVR-112d which is a IDE drive.

But then realised I would probably be better with a SATA drive. From what I've seen the Pioneer DVR-212d is a good drive, but unfortunately seems to be hard to find.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any other good SATA Dvd-rw drives

EDIT: Was wondering if this drive is any good

More about looking good drive
  1. The difference between drives is very small. I don't think this is something worth worrying about.
  2. You should look into ASUS and Lite-On. I have an ASUS 24x optical drive
  3. Just get the one that works for you. If it were me, I would get the cheapest one with SATA interface.
  4. Lite-On or Plextor are both good choices!
  5. Just remember if you buy an OEM drive you will need to buy SATA cable.Make sure your PSU has a SATA power connection open to use.

Thanks for all the info. I've gone with the Dvd-rw drive I posted in my original post.
