Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6800 2.93ghz oc 3.73ghz
680i sli mobo
4gigs 667mhz (ew) ddr2 PNY ram
9800gtx+ ssc edition
8600gts stock nvidia default clocks (dell branded >_<)
creative xfi xtreme gamer (dell OEM they changed the layout a bit)
160gb WD raptor 10,000rpm
ADDED 720 watt dell stock PSU
Windows 7 home premium 64bit (^_^)
So i recently bought Bad Company 2 for my PC and although I can run it fine ~ 30-50fps, it drops significantly in large explosions
(which if u played bc2 is a common occurrence)
I'm playing at 1680x1050 res 60hz
How can I increase my performance?
1. Many say and I believe that that frostbite engine renders sound through the CPU making it very CPU heavy.
-upgrade CPU?
2. My video card is basically a generation behind since the 9800gtx is rebranded.
-GTX 260 core 216?
-go SLI? probably not the best solution now
-Wait for GTX 295 or GTX 285 to go down when GTX 480 hits?
