Accidental invincibility in The Inverted Manse?

I'm pretty far into this classic mission (which I never got around to
finishing before now) on Expert. Something odd happens everytime I get
killed. That is, I don't. I take what should be fatal damage, yet I
keep on keeping on. WTF?

Is this a bug, or a feature? Because the rest of the mission would be
pretty freaking easy without being able to die - though not as fun. I
have v1.1, and there doesn't seem to be an update.

That sounds like some weird sort of bug. I don't know what would cause it
though. Perhaps you could download a new copy and start over to see if that
fixes it?

Thanks, that was it. I needed the T2 version of convict.osm.

I don't understand how I got along without it for so long. I've played
dozens of T2 fan missions before, apparently without benefit of
convict.osm, and this is the first time I experienced a problem. Weird.

Oh well. Inverted Manse is a HELL of a mission. I wish more authors
went with the "different paths for different difficulty levels" approach.

This is why I say FM authors should include the script files needed with
their missions.

Ugh, I don't. Different difficulty should mean more objectives, higher
loot count, tougher guard AI. Different paths should be different
missions. IMNSHO.

Me too. I've played all missions so far without apparent problem. Maybe
that's why it sometimes seems impossible to find / meet that last objective
*smirk*?
Will go dl it now, maybe it makes a difference in 'simple enough'.

Interestring - these symptoms are what you expect to get when playing
in DromEd main_menu mode.
