Laptop BIOS update

My BIOS was updating on my Toshiba L305 laptop. I was closing another program and recevied the Blue Screen of Death. The laptop will now not power on. HELP!

  1. Ouch...

    Generally when it sort of thing happens your laptop becomes "bricked". The only way to fix this is to ship it back to the manufacturer. If it is still under warranty, then there should be no charge other than shipping. If it's no longer under warranty then... the sky is the limit.

    Hopefully, someone else can offer you a better solution...
  2. I am not sure about his, but worth a try. Pull out the motherboard battery - leave it out for 5 minutes. Now replace the battery (#2032 Lithium cell). This will reset the CMOS, and BIOS to factory default settings. Hope this works.
