If i upgrade my x38mobo to p45mobo do i need to install O.S again?

I'm using windows 7 32bit version i'm going to change my asus P5ws to asus p5q3 deluxe MOBO so if i done this do i need to change my O.S?

You will have to reinstall Windows if you change motherboards yes.

Maybe not. You are sticking with same brand. I can move boot drives between my 4 Gigabyte motherboards (P45-UD3P and UD3L, P35-DS3P, and G41M-ES2L) without much trouble.

Huh, I would have thought the different chipsets would give you trouble.
