How to install SQL SERVER 2000 on windows 7?

Mainstream support for SQL Server 2000 ended in April of last year. I doubt you will be able to get it to work under Windows 7. If you install it under 7 and it doesn't work properly, you're SOL and it's time to upgrade...

Can't be done without a load of errors. Is SQL Express not good enough for you needs?

You might be better of getting an old PC and a copy of Windows 2000 (both dead cheap) and installing it on that if you really need an SQL server. Perhaps you could explain a bit more why you need SQL Server 2000 and what sort of scenario you use it in.

Edit: Alternatively, run it in XP mode.
