Display no signal aweful problem

Hey,it's my first post.
I came across very weird and awefull problem with my display. I have a prefectly working stationary computer, one day i was adjusting my screen setup in windows control panel, i pressed 'detect' buttom in control panel->display->change display settings->detect, a buttom to the right. My screen went black and says 'no video signal',with no option to return to previous setup. I tried checking out on another monitor and tv or my,same problem.black screen is even after starting a computer,I dont see anything even loading dos stuff.But computer loads windows and rest works fine as it was. It just blank and I have no idea how to return my screen setup, cuz I assume OS is messed.Help i t's terrible.

Tried fixing it in Safe Mode ?

Bit confused here, you say there is no display, but then say it loads Windows and the rest works fine. How can you see it loading and working when there is no display?
