The problem started when i try low end formatting using active@killdisk to format my flash drive kingston DT 101 G2 16GB. after started, it shows that it will take 81hours to completely format, so i click stop button on the menu because it takes too long to complete. and now when i insert my flash drive, it is not accessible and request can't be perfome because i/o error. when i open manage,it shows my flash drive is online but neither allocated nor unallocated is shown. i have try many ways, but still not success..help me please..

U will have to re-partition and re-format the drive. U need software that will do this. I use Acronis Disk Director. But, there re lots of choices. If you have a computer with linux on it, there are you can do it with that too. Good luck.

My first impression is that the drive is fried and/or faulty. Usually, if a drive is broken, it will show an inordinate amount of time to format.
