Anyone want to help me choose a gaming computer build?

Okay y'all here's the deal; I am looking to build a gaming computer this summer (July/August) that can run new games at high FPS and top settings. Budget $700-$1,000. My main trouble is deciding on the Processor, which will affect my motherboard choice, and thus affect my Video Card choice. Is the AMD Phenom II X4 965 a good gaming CPU? Any help/recommendations will be much appreciated, and a full list of parts for the build will be even more appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Fill this out and people will be more likely to help http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261222-31-build-advice
  2. Phenom II are great for gaming. You can save a few $$ but getting the 955 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808 instead, and overclocking it up to the 965.
