I installed a crucial 256 ssd in my gaming computer. my computer is strictly for gaming only. am I going to have any space issues with the size of my SSD in the near future?

You should not have any issues as long as you do not exceed the "available capacity" of your ssd. Allowing for some overprovisioning you would max out somewhere around 220GB to 240GB. It just depends on configuration. There is no automatic red alert to let you know when you are approaching maximum available capacity. You will have to check manually from time to time.

If you somehow manage to reach maximum capacity the ssd will stop responding. That is not a total disaster. No need to panic. Perform a secure erase and proceed as if you were installing a brand new ssd for the first time. Tools such as Secure Erase 4.0 are helpful.
