APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: A.S.A.P. BUDGET RANGE: $1000-$1200 Before Rebates
SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Computer Art/Graphics, Movies, Surfing
PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers
PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United States
PARTS PREFERENCES: the “Good stuff” / No preference
OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe
MONITOR RESOLUTION: 2x 1680x1050
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I need a copy of Windows 7 included in the price of the PC. I like to run dual-view style desktop with twin Dell SP2008WFPs, using one monitor as a primary display for game windows, and the second monitor for general browsing, etc. I am concerned about sacrificing performance on the primary display while running dual-view; I’ve heard that Windows splits resources 50/50 regardless of what is being drawn on either display. If that is an unfounded concern, disregard it. Otherwise, I need to explore some options to maximize performance on my gaming display. Please feel free to ask me any other questions.
