Apparently they holding back on fully implementing physx into games as much because it would hurt the consoles and ati fanbase. Rather than integral part of the game’s design designers are holding back and only using it to add "a little eye candy to the games".

So if you don't see what is so great about physx, it's only because designers aren't designing it into the game the way they should.

PC gamers are extremely small in terms of market(Compare to console gamers). The investment on development can't be recovered through the projected sales.

I play on PC and would love to have those features enabled but the economics of the business is not on the side of PC-gamers.

PC games are used for bragging about performance and excellent video quality/experience. But the bulk of the sales is on the console games.
Its part of Marketing.

Even with nvidia hardware you still need a dedicated physx card to get it to run smoothly.

Who would develop a game that only a fraction of people can play, never mind if they will even like it or not.
