Hi everyone,
I've just bought myself a shiny new 5870 and installed Windows 7 x64 (previously used Vista), and haven't changed any other components. Everything looks good for the most part in terms of idle stability and temperatues, but when I try to play a game such as Bad Company 2 I'll eventually encounter a lockup and/or BSOD.
The message I receive on the BSOD is:
I've tried updating to the latest BIOS firmware for my motherboard, I'm using the latest drivers available for everything else, and I've disabled the Intel speedstepping/turbo boost in the BIOS to see if this would help at all. I also haven't overclocked anything here - it's all at stock settings.
Here's my setup:
i7 920 D0 2.66Ghz
Asus P6T
Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800C7
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X 1GB
Windows 7 x64
Tagan 800W PSU (not sure of the model, but it's ~3-4 years old)
Any help would be appreciated!

The event log in Windows records this as:A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval.
I also checked the crash dump in 'BlueScreenView', but it seems to list a different problem (same time though); a stop code of 0x00000124 in ntoskrnl.exeA fatal hardware error has occurred.
