I have a few choices for SSD's, and was wondering which would be the best.

Mushkin Chronos Deluxe MX 120GB SSD ($100)
OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SSD ($130)
OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD x2 in RAID 0 ($130)

I have never done RAID 0, and have no idea about it. But I could easily learn fast through some internet searching.

That was my original choice, until I saw the SSD of the month. Would the Mushkin perform that much slower than the vertex 4?

Well, Mushkin would be more reliable. OCZ products have a bad reputation of poor quality products at the moment. But there will be a slight difference. Maybe shave a couple seconds off boot times. But other than that, they perform quite well.

I am coming from a slow HDD with 5 minute boot times, so I think the Mushkin will be fine. And if I get the Mushkin I can afford a new CPU cooler.

As long as the SSD is reliable I am ok with it:)  Thanks!

Yea no problem, you will see a significant major improvement on boot times. Make sure you enable ACHI in the BIOS before installing your OS. :)
