DDR2

Is DDR2 memory fast enough to run, say, a web server or a game server? How about a network server? Seeing that DDR3 is twice as fast, I was wondering if I should go with that instead.

Let's put it this way... Servers were run on DDR2 in the past, yes?

I would say that if you can fit the DDR3 into your build budget, then go for it. However, there is nothing wrong with using DDR2.
