Hi all,

Question about powering my sli XFX 9800GT Cards.

I recently bought an extra card so that i could do SLI

I also bought the XFX 750i motherboard and a 450 Visiontek Juice Box that goes in the 5.25 slot.

I hooked the juicebox into an power outlet into a 4 pin power supply connector and connected the 8 pin connector to the slot above the CPU and heatsink.....not sure if thats right or not.....

So now i have to connect my new card to the second pci-e slot. This particular card is the SAME as my old card as it is also an XFX 9800gt but this card has a 6 pin connector-

My question is 1.) is my reasoning about the juicebox correct.

and also 2.) what do i do with the 6 pin connector on my second 9800gt??????

Thanks so much guys, i need help

First of all the 9800GT is not a power hungry card. They will run in SLI on a good quality 500watt PSU.
Both cards need power to run.
What is the brand and model of your PSU?

Ultra LS500 Lifetime Series 500W Power Supply

I just figured that the juicebox would give MORE power to the cards..

Please let me know asap as i am rewiring my computer as we speak

okay.... i got it to work yay, after just trying a few things, the juicebox i have, connects through an 8 pin connector on the motherboard above the cpu/heatsink.

only one of my xfx 9800gt cards has a 6 pin connector which the power supply has, but i use though the juicebox.

So I have 2 xfx 9800gt cards in sli, couldnt be happier!
now i just have to find the drivers on their site..
