KVM with a special video out for viewing all screens at once

Hi all,

I don't know if this idea has been proposed before or if the product already exists, but here it goes anyway.

I've been a computer technician at a few different companies and I'm always making heavy use of a 8-port KVM. Oftentimes, I am working on all the machines simultaneously and am constantly switching back and forth to start processes and check on other processes. My productivity could be greatly improved if I knew which computers are ready for my attention without having to cycle through all of them and look.

Is there a KVM out there with two video outputs? The first video output behaves like always and just broadcasts the video for the active computer. However, the second video output is a combination of all 8 video streams arranged in a grid like a security monitor.

If you don't know what I mean by "security monitor", see this pic:

This way, I could know the status of every machine attached to the KVM without having to cycle through all of them individually. Does this already exist?

Thanks,

Fonzo

Speaking as the user of a 4 port KVM switch (3 desktop systems and a test setup), not that I know of.

You need a multi viewer/multi window processor http://www.tvone.com/c2-6104-main.shtml

there are multi viewers with the ability to have mouse/keyboard control, but it wil cost you a lot. Systems like that are used in control rooms. http://www.barco.com/projection_systems/downloads/BR_-_...
