In WinXP, before I my cable internet connection starts to work properly (send and receive data) I have to go to Control Panel, Network Connections, Local Area Connection then the Repair button. Is there anyway that I can connect to the 'net without having to do this everytime?

-Thanks for any suggestions

Try deleating your network card and reinstaling it . Then run the internet setup wizard again. That will usualy fix it.
